✍️ About the Author: Bishop Osei Safo-Kantanka


Rt. Rev. Prof. Osei Safo-Kantanka is a former Full Professor of Plant Breeding and Genetics at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where he also served as the university’s first Dean of Students. His pioneering research in cassava cultivation and his work with farmers across Ghana remain highly respected.
Ordained a Methodist minister, he rose to become Bishop of the Kumasi Diocese. His post-retirement mission includes founding The Bishop Kantanka Teaching Ministries (BKTM) and launching MEPAC—The Movement for the Eradication of Poverty in Africa through the Church. His teachings challenge the Church to awaken Africa’s spiritual and economic potential through mindset renewal and biblical leadership.
He is married to Mary, and together they have five adult children and numerous grandchildren.
