✍️ About the Author: Justice Dennis Dominic Adjei


Justice Dennis Dominic Adjei is a Justice of the Court of Appeal in Ghana and was elected in July 2022 as a Judge of the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights. He also serves on the Nine-Member Advisory Committee of the International Criminal Court. A seasoned legal educator and judicial trainer, he has held key academic and administrative positions including Acting Director of the Judicial Training Institute, and Dean of the Faculty of Law at GIMPA.
Justice Adjei holds advanced law degrees from the University of London and Duke University, with specialization in Criminology, Criminal Justice, and Judicial Studies. He lectures extensively across top legal institutions in Ghana and is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Cape Coast and KNUST, and an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the Ghana School of Law.
He is the author of several leading textbooks in Ghanaian law, including:
