- About the Author: Femi Akomolafe


Femi Akomolafe is a prolific Pan-African writer, technology pioneer, and journalist. A long-time advocate for African narratives, he founded The African, the first Black newspaper in the Netherlands, and was behind the continent’s earliest African Bulletin Board System (BBS), a precursor to the modern internet.
Femi has written several thought-provoking books including Africa: Destroyed by the Gods and Africa: It Shall Be Well. His storytelling blends wisdom, history, and social commentary. He also hosted the acclaimed TV programme Focus on Africans and continues to contribute to publications like ModernGhana and New African Magazine. Now based between Ghana and the Netherlands, Femi is also involved in sustainable vegetable farming and media production.
