Nuflor® is a broad-spectrum veterinary antibiotic containing florfenicol, primarily used in cattle to treat and control bovine respiratory disease (BRD) and foot rot. It is effective against bacteria such as Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, and Fusobacterium necrophorum.
Administered intramuscularly (IM) or subcutaneously (SC), Nuflor works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, ensuring efficient treatment. Proper dosing and adherence to withdrawal periods are essential for safety.

Dosage & Administration


Intramuscular (IM) Injection:
• 20 mg/kg body weight (3 mL/100 lbs)
• Second dose after 48 hours
Subcutaneous (SC) Injection:
• 40 mg/kg body weight (6 mL/100 lbs)
• Single dose
Injection Site Limit:
• Do not administer more than 10 mL per site


Precautions & Contraindications


Not for use in:
• Female dairy cattle ≥20 months
• Calves for veal production
• Animals intended for breeding
Adverse Reactions: Temporary inappetence, decreased water intake, or diarrhea
Safety Information: Avoid direct contact with skin, eyes, and clothing. Flush with water if exposed.


Withdrawal Periods


Meat: 28 days after last IM treatment, 38 days after last SC treatment
Milk: Follow veterinary guidance
