✍️ About the Author: Peter Barker


Peter Barker was born in England in 1928 and began reading the Bible daily during national service with the British Army in 1946. After giving his life to Christ, he rose to the rank of sergeant in a Swahili-speaking unit in British Somaliland.
He later studied History and Theology at Oxford University, and in 1956, he moved to Ghana, where he made significant contributions to Christian literature, education, and ministry. Barker taught at Okuapemman and La Bone secondary schools, pastored the Kaneshie Presbyterian Church, and edited the Christian Messenger. He also served as manager of Asempa Publishers, which he founded under the Christian Council of Ghana.
A lifelong servant of the Church, Peter Barker currently resides in Cheam, England.
