✍️ About the Author: Patrick Asare


Patrick Asare is a Ghanaian-born engineer, author, and policy advocate. After studying electrical engineering and Russian language teaching in the Soviet Union, he moved to the U.S., where he earned a master’s degree in engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Dartmouth. He currently works as a principal at UGI Energy Services and has previously held roles at Caterpillar, Inc.
Patrick’s international experiences shape his views on education, politics, and development. As a Democracy and Development Fellow at the Ghana Center for Democratic Development, he contributes thoughtful essays on global and African issues. He is passionate about mentorship, youth empowerment, and equity in education and opportunity.
