Jira is Atlassian's work and project management platform. It gives engineering, design, marketing, HR and operations teams one shared place to plan work, track progress and collaborate.
The current version puts a strong focus on AI. Work can be assigned to coding agents from within Jira, and context can be passed to other AI tools through MCP and a command-line interface linked to Atlassian's Teamwork Graph.
Rovo, Atlassian's AI assistant, is available inside Jira to research, draft and take action across connected tools. AI search looks across Jira, Confluence and connected apps from a single search bar. An audit trail is described for tracking what teams and agents do.
Jira is part of the Teamwork Collection, which also includes Confluence for documentation, Loom for video and Rovo. The page says you can get started for free without a credit card.
