CharlieHR is web-based HR software designed to act as a small business's first HR hire. It aims to reduce HR admin so founders, managing directors and operations managers can spend more time on their core work.
The platform covers the main day-to-day people tasks: collecting new starter details, managing time off, storing employee documents and data, running performance reviews and gauging team engagement. It also offers a perks and benefits programme, which the vendor says is included with a subscription.
Optional add-ons include Charlie Recruit for hiring and an advisory service with CIPD-qualified HR advisers and an AskCharlie tool. The vendor states it is GDPR-compliant and ISO 27001-certified.
Charlie is built mainly for UK-based small businesses, and the vendor is based in London. Teams elsewhere should check that its UK-focused policies, contracts and advice suit their needs.
