Intercom is a customer service platform that combines a helpdesk for human support teams with Fin, an AI agent. The two products share the same inbox, customer record and knowledge, so one system covers both AI and human support.

The helpdesk includes an omnichannel inbox, AI-powered ticketing and Copilot, an assistant that works alongside agents inside the inbox. Teams can also send in-context, automated messages to onboard and inform customers before they need to contact support.

Fin can be trained on existing knowledge, processes and policies, and tested with simulated customer conversations before going live. It can be deployed across phone, email, chat, Slack and other channels. Performance reporting and suggestions help teams find gaps and improve answers over time.
