About Nextcloud
Nextcloud is an open source content collaboration platform that organisations and individuals run on servers they control. Its main product, Nextcloud Hub, brings Files, Talk, Groupware, Office, Assistant and Flow together in one platform.
Files provides self-hosted file storage and sync with desktop, mobile and web interfaces. Talk offers private audio and video calls and text chat, with screen sharing and SIP integration. Groupware covers calendar, contacts and mail.
Nextcloud Office is a LibreOffice-based online suite for collaborative editing of common document, spreadsheet and presentation formats in a web browser. Nextcloud Assistant is a built-in AI assistant, and Flow provides workflow automation.
The publisher says it is designed with compliance in mind, with encryption, user management, access control and auditing tools. It is aimed at public sector bodies, businesses, service providers and schools that want to keep data on their own infrastructure.
